  • How do I get started on telemarketing company?

I’ve more than 10 yrs of telemarketing experience, now I hope to start a telemarketing company on my own, I use to train sales consultant. Wish to know how to go about,
    Thank you.

It would be nice if you have a friend or family member who produces goods or services, then you could start the marketing here.

Build up some decent % of satisfied customers and more clients will sign on.

So, just do it. Most people don’t get past the "thinking about it" stage and never persue.

    Thanks.

Can i start a google checkout account and add my credit card to it and send the money tonight?

If you add a credit card to paypal they when your paying for an item it will just use the card as your primary payment method, you don’t need to send money from your card to your account balance first.

  • How to dress for a job interview at Hooters?

Hi, I’m a young woman and I have a job interview in a few hours and if I’m really trying to get a job there as a server, how should I dress?
My pic and name are a reference to Always Sunny, my fave show. :] Hope that clears up confusion.

Well dress casually, but maybe a big cleavage, to show you look the part

You dress like you would any other interview.

    • Canadian Gal 12:26 am on September 2, 2010 Permalink

I’m just going to point out that your pic and name are of a guy. Alright, now that we’re past that… Business casual but something with cleavage showing. Wear a push up bra.

    • Thầy tướng số 12:26 am on September 2, 2010 Permalink

Unlike interviews for other jobs, to get hired for a job at Hooters, the less clothes the better. So just wear a pair of shorts or a mini-skirt and a blouse, and your outfit needs to be… revealing.

      OK, let’s get serious here:

Although the uniform for waitresses and servers there are very revealing, you should dress just as formal as an interview for other professional jobs. The interviewer wants to envision you as a future manager, so the better you dress, the more likely you will get a job. Dress to impress.

I was wondering do I have to take classes to open it?
Where can I buy the things for the shop like racks,hanger,shevels,Ect..
The store/shop is just going to be kinda like the saniro store but with Japanese stuff instead.
Please help and tell me everything how to open my own shop please!!!

I recommend the book "In Business For Yourself" by Bruce Williams.

Contact the Small Business Administration in your area. They will help you plan setting up your store.

For the fixtures (display racks, counters, etc) contact the business supply stores in your area. If you have trouble find what you need, go to a small store in your area and ask the owner where they bought their shelves and racks. Look for store closings in your area. Make an offer on the racks and shelves (ask what they want for them and haggle). Then all you need is a place to keep them until you open your shop. Be selective, you want versatile units that look in good condition. Look for adjustable metal shelves if you need shelves.

Inventory is going to be trickier, but if you know a source now, you will be in a better position when you go to apply for a business loan.

  • How much do u usually earn from becoming an opera/classical singer?

…compared to pop superstars like Britney or Madonna?

What is the usual "pricetag" of a very famous opera singer for a single show?

And how about the album sales? I know it may not sell as much as current popstars but is it still profitable?

Can u earn a lot of money as an opera/classical performer?

I seem to notice there are a lot of classical singers or classically-trained singers who switch to pop music like Charlotte Church or Josh Groban.

p.s: sorry if this question has been asked before!

    • J B 11:35 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

An A-list opera singer can easily make 100,000+ a night. Then they have to pay a lot of people with that. Your average opera singer gets a good deal less than that. Yes, you can make a lot of money, but nothing like what Madonna gets. Singers like Charlotte Church and Josh Groban are not necessarily famous for their voices. Most of their success would be attributed to the fact that they were able to mimic a mature voice at a very young age. That is why Charlotte Church has pretty much fallen off the radar. Josh Groban is a better singer and is still enjoying a career. But, I wouldn’t look for him at the Met any time soon.
As for album sales, that is pretty much just gravy. It may not seem like it when you go to Barnes and Noble, but very few opera singers get recording deals. The record companies pick a few and stick with them. But, I can tell you that Enrico Caruso was the first recording artist to sell 1 million copies.

  • How to get credit when no one will give me a chance?

We are already approved for a house, Only thing we need (the lady said) is activity on our credit (or credit report). We tried to get a credit card but they wouldn’t let us. How in the world do you get credit when no one will give you a chance? Is there a way i can go to a local store and buy something and pay monthly on it, Or do i HAVE to have a credit card. I’m sure there’s more ways to obtain credit, but we just can’t find them. We really need this house

    • autumn 10:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

You need to get what’s called a secured credit card to start with. You make a deposit of about $500 to cover your charges on the account. This will be your limit. After a year or so of making on-time payment, you may be able to qualify for an unsecured card, where you don’t have deposit money to cover the charges. Then you will have true credit. It takes time, but that’s a great way to start.

    • Dixie Darlin' 10:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

How in the world did you get approved for a home loan with no previous credit history?

Stop applying, if you have already been declined, you will have to start with secured credit.

Go to the bank or credit union you do business with and find out if they offer a secured card, open a account with $200-$500, and use the card each month for small purchases (a tank of gas, groceries), making sure to pay the card off in full each month, after a year or so, see if they can convert the card to an unsecured card.

You can also open a savings account and save until you have $1000. Tell the bank you want a secured loan against the account. Set it up to be repaid within 12 months. Make your payments on time every time.

At that time you will be well on the way to establishing your credit rating, it will take 24 months of consistent on-time payments to build a good credit rating.

None of the ways are quick. You need to have activity for a long time. If you do not yet have any activity, then it is already too late to have enough activity to get a loan for this house. You have two options:
      a) Have activity for a loan time, then buy whatever house is available a long time from now.
      b) Pay for the house in full, without getting a loan.

Also, they will let you get a "secured" credit card. The reason that they would not let you get a credit card is that the credit card for which you applied was not a "secured" credit card and, like the home loan, is available only to someone who already has activity on their credit report.

You need to start by applying for a "secured" credit card, and no other types of credit card. You do not need activity on your credit report to get a "secured" credit card.

    • My Take on It 10:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

      Your story makes no sense
If you have been approved for a home loan, why on earth are they telling you you cannot get the home loan until you establish credit? That is contradictory.

Sounds like you misunderstood what they told you . They probably told you that based on your other info you gave them, that you would qualify for a home loan, but that you needed to establish credit first and then come back and apply for a pre approval.

Only credit you would be able to get if you cannot get an unsecured card is to deposit $300 to $500 in a bank account that will offer you a secured Visa/MC.

There are no grants for commercial business. Since you only need a couple of bucks you can get a loan from friends or take a couple of things you own to a pawn shop. Or work part time for a couple of months somewhere.

Go to Barnes & Noble. Books on Business Plans and Marketing Plans. Start documenting your plan. Take your plans to a community college, ask if they can help you connect with some retired people in the type of business you want to start.

Then yo take your business plan and marketing plan to the bank; to get your loan.

The only thing is for him to get a student account which is for users aged 13 and over. The way it works is that a parent account must be connected to it. His dad can monitor the account, set limits for sending and receiving money, and adding funds. It sounds as though your friend’s father does not want to do this, though. There really isn’t any other way around it.

He can still load money into his paypal account by purchasing green dot money packs which can be found at walmart or pharmacies. You load the money you want on to the money pak card, and then you use the number on the card to transfer the money in to a paypal account online.

Your friend is under 18, so he can’t get his own account.

Dad *could* set up a parent account with a student account under it, but if he doesn’t want to, your friend has to wait.

By the way, to receive money on paypal you need to be 18.

How much and how often does your 6 month old eat formula and baby food? My daughter will be 6 mos this week she has recently started to want to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours and finishes 7 or 8 ounces each time. Doesnt this sound a little excessive? She used to eat 6 ounces every 4 hours and now i feel like i feed her all day every day. She also eats a jar of stage 1 food twice a day. Any insight?

    • Pippin 7:35 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

My daughter was breastfed so I never knew how much breastmilk she took. But she still nursed about every 2 hours during the day and once during the night. As for solids, she had pretty much just started them, and was taking 1-2 small meals a day.

I’d guess that your daughter is going through a growth spurt and is just extra hungry right now. Feed her what she wants/needs and she should settle back down to her previous pattern.

My son is four months but I will tell you what how often he eats a day.

He will have 5 6 oz bottles a day, he also eats a half a jar of stage one fruits and half a jar of stage 1 veggies for lunch which is after his 2nd bottle. Then before bed we give him cereal which we mix with his last formula bottle and stage one fruits, Usually applesauce.

My son eats about every 3-4 hours

  • How to persude customer to buy a Sears credit card?

im going to be working as a cashier sson at Sears, just hired. but they really is pushing us cashiers to sell those cards….

How to do it the right way?

    • Lorelei 6:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

Ask them as you are ringing them out if they want to put the purchase on their sears card. If they say no, they ask if they have one. If they say no then say "Would you like to save $15.00 on your purchase today?" This will get the ball rolling and the customer thinking. If they say they already have a Sears card, then ask if they have the master card AND the store card. They can have both at the same time (many people don’t realize that). Ask them if they want to save money by applying for any cards they don’t already have ($15.00 for the MC $10.00 for the store card).

If the customer seems at bit interested but not sure, show them how much they would save by subtracting the 15.00 from their total. (EX: Your total is $31.50 but it could be $16.50 if you open a Sears Mastercard.) Also explain to them they can pay off the balance that day (check or cash)using the temporary shopping pass so when they receive the card they don’t even owe anything.

You will also be able to tell the customer who does not think they will get approved that Sears uses two banks (Citibank and HSBC) to help get customers approved. It helps their chances vs applying with one bank.

Sounds like you have not done any training yet. Some of this will be taught then. They will show you roleplay and help you get started as well. And as others have said, learn everthing about the cards and highlight the perks (no annual fee for Citibank cards, point rewards, coupons and exclusive offers, etc.) Again, you will learn about those in your training.

      Good Luck!

    • missd 6:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

People don’t buy credit cards, you apply for one. Simply ask the customer if they would like to fill out an application for a Sears card.

i have to do the same thing at work sell sell sell. they tell us to ask open ended questions!!! like how would it help you if you didn’t have to pay interest for six months? be on there side. say things like i understand or i know how hard it is to pay everything off right away, we offer a great sears card right now that has………KNOW WHAT THE CARD HAS TO OFFER!!! if there’s an annual fee? how many months no interest. and so on. if you know everything about the card it’s much easier to sell it. one more thing don’t be afraid to ask them, be confident. oh and say it helps build credit.

If off you don’t buy a credit card………you apply for one………work on that first……….

    • eldarwen996 6:27 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

What I would do is take a credit card application home with you and read it over. That way you know exactly what you are ’selling’. Explain the perks of having a Sears card. Getting $10 off or 0% interest on the item. If they are still doing the 10% off when you use a Sears card (I don’t know if they are still doing those, but you can check that out). Another tip is they can pay it off and never use it again, or when a really good deal is going.

  • How Do I Send a Paypal Invoice For Ebay Sale?

I just finished listing an item on Ebay, and the buyer requested an invoice by Paypal.
How do I do that? Do I need his email adress? Or is there an ebay option on paypal where all i hvae to give is the sale ID number?

    • Yahzmin (US) 5:38 pm on September 1, 2010 Permalink

IF THE PERSON is asking you to END the auction early and send them an invoice for MORE than the amount specified in the auction, OUTSIDE of ebay – it is a SCAM. Ignore them.

If the item is finished and sold normally, ebay should have sent you an email stating this. In the email is a LINK to send an invoice. Or, just sign in to your ebay account, go to your account page, find the sold item and use the "Send Invoice" link there. If you have a paypal account LINKED to your ebay account, when ebay sends the invoice, it will include a BUTTON for the person to "Pay via Paypal". That should be all they need.

If your paypal account is not linked, or if there is any other problem with sending the invoice through paypal, the email from ebay should include the email address of the buyer. Use that to go to paypal, sign in, and send your invoice from there.

  • How to be an apprentice chef at a restaurant?

I want to apprentice to be a chef at a restaurant, i don’t need to be payed, but can you help me explain how to apply, what to do, etc.

    • Cleveland Army Chef 3:50 am on September 1, 2010 Permalink

      I went that route.

You cannot be a "chef" without schooling suually nowadays. Most employers want a degree attached to your name to qualify you as executrive chef.

Get a job in a kitchen. Not Lonestar, TGI Fridays or Applebees garbage. A REAL KITCHEN. Basically not some franchise deal.

Chefs are pompous pricks for the most part. My Chef was loud, arrogant, an asshole, yelled alot, threw tantrums, seemed bi-polar, had good days and VERY VERY bad days..and he was the best teacher I ever had. Taught me all he knew. He greaduated from New England Culinary Inst. cooked in 14 different countries and although he was very hard to work for, I owe him for what I am.

Pay your dues. Take the screaming and being put down. It takes tough skin. You go through alot of abuse. But the payoff is huge.

I am now a sous chef, got my schooling through a community college to learn things such as menu planning, food cost control, safet and sanitation and restaurant laws.

Do what I did. But be prepared for no life…lol

My weeknd starts on Tuesday and my work week starts on Thursday.
Weekend nights are spent in a kicthen till 11 PM

Get a job first. See if it is for you.

It’s rewarding personally. But expect no glory. You know you are doing great when nobody says ANYTHING.

You will understand what I mean someday.

    • ANF 3:50 am on September 1, 2010 Permalink

I think that your first step should be to enroll on a basic cookery course which will at least show that you have the interest and later some sort of commitment. At the same time start to visit resturants that have a chef and talk to the general manager about your hopes. Resturants have a high staff turnover so there will always be some vacancy somewhere. You might have to start at the bottom doing the very menial stuff but if it is a good place you will be encouraged to move to better things and learn some basic skills.
One sure thing is certain, you will need to go to a catering college to learn all aspects of working in a kitchen such as hygien and safety etc.

      Zloar is almost correct . . . .

Here is what you will need. . . .
      1. A domain name ( http://www.register.com )
      2. Adult hosting ( http://www.actionhosts.com )
      3. Content ( http://www.web-legal.com )
      4. An adult credit card processor (http://www.ccbill.com )
      5. A knowledge of html
      6. Alot of time

Here is what you do . . .
Before purchasing anything, sit down, and get an idea of what you want to do in your head. Do you a generic site with a little bit of everything, or do you want to have a nitche? A piece of advise . . . There are a million generic sites, you will make more money with a nitche (amateurs, hardcore, teens, bondage etc.etc.) Then you open your favorite html editor and build the front page. . . The front page it more important than any other thing on the site. It’s the first thing people see, and it’s how they remember what you are about. Once you have done that, buy your content. Most of the content comes with thumbnail galleries included, if it doesn’t then get a free thumbnail generator from http://www.hotfiles.com and make your own. Once you have that done, make a free tour, it should be between 3 and 8 pages long (I recomend 5) Once you have your site design saved on your computer. . . go get a domain name and hosting. Upload everything to the host. Make sure you do not point your domain name to the host until you have everything in place, Test it out, make sure everything works, make sure it looks the way you want it. click EVERY link to make sure they work. Put your credit card processor in place. Then advertise, advertise and then advertise. Once you have advertised, then advertise some more. To begin with, give your members a second month free if they refer someone to your site and that person signs up, (ccbill has a good system for stuff like that) Keep it updated at a minimum of every 3 weeks. I try to add atleast 3 new picture galleries to my sites atleast that often. Get a tracker, http://www.statcounter.com has a good free one to get you started. Put a tracker on EVERY page, including the gallery pages. When you make new galleries, look and see which ones people arent interested in and take them down. Keep your customers happy, and they will stay a member for a long time. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me amateur_designs@yahoo.com

    • Zloar 2:56 am on September 1, 2010 Permalink

There’s actually many companies that supply content for websites. You would purchase and package the content and then sell memberships to your website. I would start my search for content on AVN (adult video news) which is a trade publication… I think they have an industry directory on their website for you to contact content providers. You’ll also need to have a method prepared for processing memberships and payment transactions. For research purposes I would encourage you to check out and even become a member of a few websites just to see how they do business and lay out their content. Keep in mind that the marketplace is flooded with porn websites… if it takes $3000 a month to purchase content and run your website and you sell memberships for $20 a month all you need is 150 people to purchase monthly memberships… the rest is profit. I would suggest that you focus on a particular fetish at first, rather than be a general website… you’ll likely get a better response for your initial investment if you try to be the best you can possibly be at providing content for that fetish (teens, feet, S&M, etc.), rather than be an average site for general content… once you’re making a profit at that fetish you can easily grow by spinning off a second more websites for other fetishes and allow members access to all websites for one membership. As your business grows you can then make the investment to start producing original content. There’s lots of ways you can generate interest in your local area… provide cupons for 1 month free trial memberships and pay to have them distributed at porn shops, strip clubs, etc. in your area… even though they don’t pay at first, you’ll at least have some income as you start up… you can also offer referal discounts to help build your customer base. Good luck with your business, and don’t let those uptight christians rain on your parade.

How long will it take you to produce it (I take it that you are performing it and recording it yourself? If not how much will the artists or studio cost).

Then work out how much you value your time at per hour, multiply the two and that will give you an idea on how much to charge.

Personally £200 seems a little low to me, I might add another 50 – 100 onto it but it also depends on the size of the company, a smaller one is more likely to go for £200 that a larger one that is used to spending 1,000s or 10 of thousands on advertising.

      Good luck

If you are thinking about £200 its very lowest rate of charging for a jingle, i have read a report and according to that report the typical price range for original material is as follows: locally – $1,500 to $3,000, statewide – $2,500 to $4,500, regionally – $3,500 to $10,000, nationally – $6,500 to $20,000+, globally $30,000+, i hope it can give you a better idea.

  • When I buy stock how do I know how much it is worth from day to day?

I want to buy 1 share of Microsoft but after you buy that 1 share how would I know how much it is worth from day to day? or how do I check the market for it?

Everyone told you the obvious…check the yahoo home page. But the real point is that you do not follow a stock daily. There is no point in this because stocks change price every few minutes. The strategy (and I have had Microsoft stock for 15 years) is to hold for the long term. The good bet is to pick sound companies because they do well in all economies and many companies continue to pay dividends even in this economy. That is the real way to watch that stock. When they reduce the dividend, that is when you get nervous.

Go to your yahoo home page and on the stock portfolio section enter the Microsoft stock symbol. Every time you log on you will get an hourly update.

Just go to google and type "microsoft stock" or simply MSFT in the search box. The first hit you get will be their current price.

    • Alex 12:14 am on September 1, 2010 Permalink

Basically, you would track the change in the stock price.

For example – Microsoft closed today at $23.47/shr. That is what it’s worth. If you sell it tomorrow at $23.80, then it was worth exactly that.

      GOOGLE "microsoft stock"

You want to buy one share? You can go to yahoo finance at 4:20 pm and key in MSFT and it will display the closing price of Microsoft on that day.

  • How much would it cost for 2 people to eat at Cheesecake Factory?

I want to take my little sister to eat at Cheesecake Factory for graduation next year and I was wondering about how much would our bill be roughly for 1 appetizer, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts? And do the prices vary by location, or are they pretty much the same?

    • Sasuke Uchiha 11:59 pm on August 31, 2010 Permalink

1 appetizer will average around $10
2 drinks …lets round that up to $4
2 avg entrees would be around: $30
2 desserts would be around: $15
      tax 0.7%
      tip $9
      total $72

I chose $15 dollars per person. some plates go higher but others go lower.
Your safe bet is to be willing to spend anywhere from $50-$75

  • How to drive real people to a website?

Let’s say for example I want to get people to sign up on a website. I am not talking about spambots. I am talking about real people coming to a website. I suck at convincing people to join in on something that could be beneficial to them if they give it a try. That is where I NEED help with. By the way, signing up to the site would be 100% free of charge that does not require selling. I hate asking folks for money, so I choose not to.

Write some quality articles and publish them online with a link back to your site. People who read through those articles and then click on the link to your website are much more targeted and will be more interested in your product when they get to your site.

Another method would be to post in forums and comment on other sites. If your comments are constructive then you’ll get higher quality traffic.

I have heard the oil fields and pipelines are great work in Alaska. How do I go about getting a job with them? I can not find ANYTHING online about it.
