How does one go about getting a lawyer for car accident?

look in your local yellow pages under "lawyers" and look for one who specializes in personal injury cases. usually their ads will mention car accidents. call them up and ask for an initial consultation – this should be an hour’s worth of discussion, for free – if a place won’t give you a free consultation, go elsewhere. if you live anywhere other than the sticks, there should be plenty who will give you a free consultation.

Should people always run to lawyers for car accidents? That’s the real topic we should talk about
Look in yellow pages under "ATTORNEYS" pick the biggest fullsized personal injury ad and call these people. IF you have a case, they will jump all over it…you don’t pay unless they win, they don’t get paid unless they win. (usually 20-40% of settlement goes to firm).
I Would Ask A Friend Or Co-Worker If They Know Of a Good Lawyer Or If That Does Not Work i Would Look In The Yellowpages or Contact A Local Firm And Ask Questions!!
You should look for a lawyer referral service in your area. Lawyer referral services generally check to make sure that the attorney they refer has not had disciplinary actions filed against him and they make sure he or she carries insurance and is qualified.
