Depends on how much cash ya got? There is a "Good ol ‘boys" network in every county but close by is a lawyer who for the right price can come in and trip up the officer and not worry about political implications or being harrassed by the local constablity

No, only must be licensed by the bar association of that state. It always better to associate with a lawyer from the county where trial will occur.

No, nor do they even have to be from your state. They don’t even have to be LICENSED in your state, contrary to common belief. You can hire whoever you want to. However, I recommend a lawyer who is registered with the bar association of your state.
