Moving to NEW YORK or Jersey from Orlando?
I have been searching HARD for an apartment but i am having the most difficult time figuring out where i should live. I am anxious to just be up North. I don’t have to live in the City but i would like to live fairly close. Is Jersey a good Option and if so what part? I am also considering the Bronx but not sure what neighborhoods are suitable/affordable. any sites i can visit? any tips, tricks etc. for finding a decent affordable apartment. It would be just me and my 2 yr old daughter.

Need thoughts on moving to New York City?
Hello,
I’m 28 years old and I have recently learned of a job being offered in the Queens area that would pay ,000 starting out. I currently make ,000 in Ohio, but even factoring in the cost of living, I would be getting a pay increase…not to mention my wife would work as well. I have heard that Brooklyn and Queens are fairly nice and affordable. Can anyone offer me perspectives on moving to NYC? I don’t know how well I would handle the big city since I am not good around crowds of people, but the idea of being surrounded by all that history, museums, and famous food just sounds intriguing. I am also worried about how the NYC schools work….my wife has an education degree in middle childhood education, and she hasn’t been able to find a teaching job in Ohio….so I’m wondering if her prospects would be any better in NYC, and if so, what the schools are like in a big city like NYC. Thanks. -

Moving to New York, will i like it?
I’m a young female in my early 20’s I’m looking to move down to New York soon and i’ve found a really cute place in Wappingers fall New York and want to get some more info about the place and what to expect. i was looking for something close to the city but not IN the city, i’m not the party type girl would rather have a night at the movies or a nice meal out, i like going for walks, i’m a city girl never owned a car just rely on public transportation so thats how i will getting around in New York. i’m looking to work either in a restuarant, coffee shop, deli, ect for the 1st couple of months while i’m there. ok so thats a little about me do you think i will like it there? how far would you say new york city is to the area, and the rest of new york (queens, staten island, bronx, manhattan). is it a diverse place in nationality?
So if Wappingers fall is not that much of a good place, what area would be?
