There seems to be a lot of commercials for people who will "Help fix your Tax problems with the IRS ". Are these a result of a large number of audits being done to help raise funds because of the rising costs involved with the Iraq war? What are your thoughts on this phenomenon
I am not talking about foreclosures but the sudden rash of audits to collect supposed back taxes.

Since doctors and lawyers were allowed to advertise, DR MD- Tush for rhoids and lawyers looking to sue everyone are all over the place. There are a lot of people who have filed for bankrupcy and have foreclosed on homes. They need tax help.
Audits are not to raise funds for war. They are done because the tax return itself raises the big red flag of Bull—-. People take deductions they shouldn’t or have a major change in income or something. Many people were audited a few years ago because a major tax prep storefront business was screwing up tax returns. This has nothing to do with raising money for a $40,000 toilet seat. Puhleeeze.
